In the Gaza Strip, starvation continues to be used as a deliberate and systematic weapon ofwar against civilians, in flagrant violation of all humanitarian norms and international legalframeworks — foremost among them the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child,International Humanitarian Law, and the Geneva Conventions, particularly the FourthConvention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.Since the imposition of a full blockade in March 2025, the food and health systems haveentered a state of collapse, with infants and young children bearing the heaviest toll.
