Juzoor and the Ministry of Health Honor the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Team for Their Ongoing Contribution to Surgical Training in Palestine

Juzoor for Health & Social Development, in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Health, welcomed and honored the visiting team from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) in recognition of their longstanding partnership in strengthening surgical training in Palestine.
For 12 years, RCSEd has worked closely with Juzoor to implement the Basic Surgical Skills (BSS) Program, training Palestinian surgeons and developing local faculty to sustain the initiative. This year, the team is introducing Non-Technical Skills for Surgeons (NOTSS), focusing on crucial competencies such as communication, decision-making, and teamwork—key elements in ensuring effective and safe surgical practice.
During the visit, the Minister of Health expressed deep appreciation for the team’s commitment, emphasizing the importance of these trainings in enhancing the skills of Palestinian surgeons. He highlighted how exposure to international expertise and best practices helps Palestinian doctors refine their techniques and integrate global surgical standards into the local healthcare system.
