Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Course
Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) is a major challenge for the health care system in Palestine. Therefore, Juzoor has been conducting this course for several years to reduce avoidable morbidity and mortality through improvements to IPC.
Since the start of the pandemic, Juzoor has also channeled COVID-19 preparedness, readiness and response, as well as IPC strategies required to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 infections via virtual trainings for healthcare providers.
By the end of this course participants will be able to recall the cycle of infection, identify barriers to break the chain of infection, apply standard precautions, define the relationship between hand hygiene and health Care Acquired Infections, perform hand hygiene effectively, apply hand hygiene as indicated by the WHO 5 moments for hand Hygiene, define the common Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs), and discuss bundles applied for prevention of HCAIs.
