Juzoor for Health and Social Development (together with its office, employees, officers and directors, as applicable – collectively “Company” “Juzoor” or “we” or “us” or “our “) is a Palestinian non-governmental organization based in Jerusalem working at the national level, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Palestinian families and promoting health as a basic human right.Juzoor was founded in 1996 by a team of health and development professionals. The organization was named Juzoor (“roots” in Arabic) to reflect the organization’s focus on the underlying socioeconomic determinants of health and wellness, to reinforce the commitment that Juzoor has made to continuing its work in Palestinian communities despite the difficult and challenging political situation, and to reflect the founders’ experience in their related fields and in establishing some of the most important grassroots health organizations in Palestine.
Juzoor works in three main areas. The first is Community Development Program which work on youth and women empowerment, supports marginalized communities, and protects families against gender-based violence through the promotion of sexual and reproductive health rights. The second is Continuous Professional Development, Juzoor strives to bring evidence-based, internationally accredited training programs to the country such as the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) training from the American Academy of Family Physicians and others and the third area is Impacting Health and Social Policies where Juzoor believes that in order to make a sustainable and lasting impact on the health of Palestinians it must contribute to the national level policy dialogue, and help to effect positive change on the macro level
Through its program Juzoor works on child/youth friendly mobile applications. Juzoor respcts the privacy of its users (both parents and children, and collectively “you” or “user”). We believe it is important for you to make informed decisions regarding the use of our Services based on your understanding of what information we collect through the use of our Apps, what we do with such information, how we process it, with whom we share it, as well as your rights and choices regarding your information processed by us. For this purpose, we have drafted this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”), which will further describe and detail our privacy practices while you use or otherwise interact with our Apps;
- Our apps and games are free of charge
- We do not put any ads in our applications
- We do not ask for any private information through our apps
- Our apps are child and youth friendly
- Among our work is collaboration on policies/educational material with both the Palestinian Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education
We DO NOT collect any private information from you, either Personal or Non-Personal Information (as defined below) depending on the nature of your interaction with the Services, all as detailed below.
The Non-Personal Information that is might be collected may include your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information such as: device brand, screen size, UDID, type of operating system, type of device, language preference, the time and date you access our Services, your actions within our Services (e.g., registration, pages viewed, etc.), the URLs from which you were directed to our Services, search queries within our Services, etc., and approximate geo-location (Country).
How We Collect Information
Depending on the nature of your interaction with the Services, Juzoor may collect information as follows: (i) Automatically – Juzoor collects information automatically transmitted from the device; (ii) Provided by you voluntarily – meaning, if and when you choose to provide us with information such as through a registration process, newsletter registration, contact us communications, etc.

Our Website, apps may collect analytics for which may include cookies that might include your IP address, such as:

Juzoor is committed to protecting your and your child’s Personal Information. Thus, Juzoor has implemented technical, physical and administrative security measures to protect the Personal Information submitted to and collected by us, both during transmission and once we receive it. In addition, Juzoor limits access to the information on its servers, and it is password-protected as well as encrypted. You should be aware, however, that there is no data that is transmitted over the Internet that can be guaranteed 100% secure in transmission or safe from theft or illegal capture.
Unsubscribe from Direct Marketing
You may revoke permission to receive promotional messages at any time by contacting customer support at media@juzoor.org or by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each communication. Please note that even if you unsubscribe, we reserve the right to send you service-related communications, announcements and administrative messages.
Opt – Out
You may easily opt out of certain automatic data collection, sharing process and targeted advertising services related to our Service. Please note that even if you opt-out, you will still receive content and advertising. Opting-out simply means that the advertisements you do receive may not be contextual.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may change from time to time and we will post the amended terms and notify you by email in the event of substantial changes. Amended terms will take effect immediately for new users, and 10 days after they are posted for existing users. You should review the Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed of any changes. You should be aware that there are certain things that Juzoor for Health and Social Development (Non-Profit Org) will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. With respect to Juzoor for Health and Social Development (Non-Profit Org)’s responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavor to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Juzoor for Health and Social Development (Non-Profit Org) accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.
At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on Android & iOS – the requirements for the both systems(and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Juzoor for Health and Social Development (Non-Profit Org) does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the Android & iOS version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you, We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
