Juzoor Trains Community Health Workers to Deliver MHPSS Support Through Home Visits

To support youth in facing daily challenges, Juzoor conducted a specialized training for community health workers in Ramallah on implementing home visits for students. The training aims to equip field teams to reach students in their homes and provide mental health and psychosocial support that strengthens their ability to cope with stress, manage emotions, and continue their educational journey.

During the home visits, the teams provide MHPSS support sessions, practical strategies for stress management, time management, and establishing a supportive daily routine. They also empower families to create safe and supportive home environments, provide information on available psychosocial and educational services, and activate referral and follow-up mechanisms for cases requiring specialized intervention.

The visits are planned to be implemented in Nablus, Hebron, Tubas, and Ramallah, targeting students who face educational challenges or are out of school, with the goal of enhancing their mental well-being, supporting their continuity in learning, and connecting them to available service.

This training is part of the “Mental Health Matters” project , implemented in partnership with CARE Palestine and through the Belgian agency for international cooperation, and with support from the Belgian government.
