Strengthening Mental Health Support: Training for Helpline Counselors
Juzoor for Health and Social Development has wrapped up an intensive two-day training for its Helpline counselors a service offering free and confidential mental health consultations by phone for young people.
The training covered:
• Active listening and case management skills
• Managing common psychological pressures among youth
• Referral pathways to specialized services
• Protection, confidentiality, and professional ethics
• Hands-on, interactive sessions with real-life scenario simulations
This training is part of the "Mental Health Matters" project, implemented in partnership with CARE Palestine, through the Belgian agency for international cooperation, and with support from the Belgian Government, aimed at equipping the helpline team to effectively reach and support more young people facing growing psychosocial challenges.
