Announcement of the 7th MENA Region Adolescents Health Conference.

The Arab Coalition for Adolescent Health & Medicine, together with Juzoor for Health and Social Development, and in partnership with Doha Institute for Graduate Studies is pleased to announce the 7th MENA Region Adolescents Health Conference.

The conference will be held in Doha, Qatar, from November 15–17, 2026, under the theme:
“Generation Empowered: From Vulnerability to Strength.”

This conference comes at a time of increasing challenges facing adolescents across the region, amid ongoing humanitarian crises, protracted conflicts, and significant social, economic, and digital transformations. These challenges have profound impacts on adolescents’ physical, mental, and social well-being, as well as on their access to protection, education, and meaningful participation in their communities.

The conference aims to provide a regional platform that brings together researchers, experts, policymakers, practitioners, and representatives of academic, community-based, and youth organizations to discuss the state of adolescent health in the region. It also seeks to promote integrated approaches that respond to adolescents’ needs, including mental health, psychosocial well-being, social protection, education, sexual and reproductive health and rights, safe digital environments, and youth empowerment and participation.

In addition, the conference strives to support the development of multi-sectoral policies and programs that address adolescents’ needs in a comprehensive and interconnected manner. It will foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences among stakeholders and highlight practices, experiences, and research that contribute to building more responsive, equitable, and sustainable systems for adolescent health and well-being in the region.

This year’s conference is held in partnership with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, reflecting the importance of linking academic knowledge with policymaking and practical responses to the growing challenges facing youth and adolescents in the Arab region. It also opens the door for broader regional dialogue on pathways for moving from vulnerability to strength, and from temporary responses to sustainable institutional reform.

The conference will serve as a space for collective reflection on future priorities, including strengthening adolescents’ mental health and social well-being, developing more integrated and flexible support and protection systems, expanding opportunities for youth participation and leadership, and promoting scientific research while translating evidence into effective, impactful, and sustainable policies and interventions.
