A Palestinian Ministry of Health delegation visits Juzoor to explore ways to strengthen joint cooperation

Juzoor for Health and Social Development hosted a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Health at its new office, headed by His Excellency Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Wael Al-Sheikh, and including Dr. Imad Al-Masri and Dr. Sawsan Abu Shari’a. The visit aimed to strengthen joint cooperation between the Ministry and Juzoor and explore ways to further develop priority health programs.

Dr. Ummayieh Khammash, Director General of Juzoor, welcomed the visiting delegation and emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Health and its role in supporting the health sector and enhancing responses to health and development needs in Palestine.

During the meeting, the Juzoor team presented a comprehensive overview of the organization’s health and development programs, with a focus on joint initiatives implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health, particularly in the areas of nutrition, diabetes, early childhood development, healthy ageing, family health, emergency preparedness, as well as medical training and capacity building for healthcare professionals within the Ministry.

The two sides also discussed several areas of mutual interest, including strengthening specialized medical training programs for Ministry of Health staff, supporting national efforts in community health, prevention, awareness raising, and health response, in addition to exploring opportunities to support the sponsorship of Palestinian doctors for specialized training in rare medical fields that are considered priorities for the Palestinian health sector.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Wael Al-Sheikh praised Juzoor’s role in supporting the Palestinian health sector, noting that the organization is considered one of the key pillars supporting the health system through its programs, services, and quality interventions that contribute to advancing public health and supporting the most vulnerable groups.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the importance of continued coordination and joint collaboration, and the development of practical initiatives and programs that respond to national health priorities, strengthen the resilience of the Palestinian health system, and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
