Training of Facilitators for the Positive Discipline in Everyday Life (PDEL) Program

Juzoor for Health and Social Development implemented a training program to prepare facilitators for the Positive Discipline in Everyday Life (PDEL) program, with support from Choose Love, and the participation of 24 professionals from educational, health, and social fields.

The training was conducted over four days and aimed to equip qualified cadres to promote a culture of positive parenting based on scientific principles that combine warmth and structure, away from violence, and aligned with child rights principles and the latest research in child development.

The training covered key topics, including understanding child development stages, addressing behavioural challenges, and approaches to solving parenting-related issues. It also included practical training on facilitating parental guidance sessions using the program’s tools.

By the end of the training, participants became more prepared to apply positive parenting principles, effectively manage parent groups, and provide practical support to families in ways that are responsive to diverse social and cultural contexts.

This training comes as part of Juzoor’s ongoing efforts to enhance the well-being of children and families, and to promote positive, evidence-based, and rights-based parenting practices.
