Juzoor Strengthens Trainers’ Capacity to Use Digital Media for SRHR Awareness
As part of the “Powered by Women” project, implemented by Juzoor for Health and Social Development in partnership with CARE Palestine and supported by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), Juzoor conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) to establish a core group of male and female trainers who will lead trainings on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) campaigns through social media, targeting young male and female influencers aged 18–35 in several West Bank governorates.
The training focused on strengthening the trainers’ knowledge and skills in Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) and peer-learning methodologies, while enhancing their capacity to design and implement digital awareness campaigns addressing sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as gender equality.
The training also included specialized sessions on digital media and content creation for awareness campaigns, covering how to transform ideas into compelling stories and impactful digital content, visual identity, mobile photography, interview and podcast production, and the implementation of effective social media campaigns.
The trained facilitators will go on to transfer these knowledge and skills to young women and men in Ramallah, Jericho, Tubas, Jenin, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Hebron/Yatta, strengthening their role as agents of change within their communities and contributing to greater awareness of sexual and reproductive health and rights, while addressing harmful social practices and norms.
