Haneen Safi

Haneen Safi is a senior contracts, compliance, and grants management professional with over 13 years of experience in financial management, donor compliance, contract administration, and organizational accountability within the humanitarian and development sector. She currently serves as the Head of Contracts & Compliance Unit at Juzoor for Health & Social Development, where she leads organizational efforts to strengthen compliance systems, ensure adherence to donor requirements, manage contractual obligations, and enhance internal controls and risk management.

Throughout her career, Haneen has successfully managed the financial and contractual aspects of multi-million-dollar, donor-funded projects supported by United Nations agencies, bilateral donors, and international NGOs. She has extensive expertise in grant and contract management, donor compliance, proposal development, budgeting, financial reporting, audit coordination, procurement compliance, and organizational policy development.

Haneen has led the preparation and review of complex proposal budgets for a wide range of institutional donors, ensuring alignment with donor regulations, organizational policies, and programmatic objectives. She has extensive experience developing multi-donor budgets, conducting budget negotiations, monitoring project expenditures, supporting financial forecasting, and ensuring compliance throughout the grant lifecycle—from proposal development and contract negotiation to implementation, reporting, and close-out.

In her current role, Haneen collaborates closely with executive management, program, finance, and technical teams to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with contractual agreements, donor requirements, and organizational procedures. She plays a key role in strengthening organizational accountability, supporting strategic decision-making, mitigating compliance risks, and improving systems that enhance operational efficiency and donor confidence.

Haneen holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with a specialization. Her strong financial background, combined with expertise in compliance and organizational governance, enables her to bridge strategic planning with operational excellence.
