Juzoor calls on the international community and humanitarian organizations for urgent intervention to allow the entry of medicines and medical supplies into northern Gaza

Juzoor for Health and Social Development calls on the international community and humanitarian organizations for urgent intervention to allow the entry of medicines and medical supplies into northern Gaza, where the crisis is escalating, and the lives of thousands are directly threatened.

As the third week of intense bombing and blockade targeting civilians in northern Gaza begins, the Israeli military continues to prevent the entry of essential humanitarian aid and medical supplies. This has led to a rapid and dangerous deterioration in the humanitarian situation. Hundreds of thousands of residents are facing severe risks to their lives and health, turning the area into an unprecedented catastrophe.

One of the most pressing challenges is the severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, hindering medical teams from providing urgent care to save the injured. Medical stocks are on the verge of depletion, and many warehouses have been destroyed due to the bombing, worsening the humanitarian and health crisis.

Despite these harsh conditions, Juzoor` s team continues to provide care at more than fifty health points and centers, facing significant threats from bombing, destruction, and the blockade. Yesterday, Juzoor lost one of its doctors, who was martyred while performing his duty in the Jabalia area, joining three other doctors, nurses, and health workers who have been martyred. The doctor was working at a medical point inside a shelter when he was targeted while on duty. Additionally, six of the shelters overseen by Juzoor were bombed, displacing their residents. our medical teams have moved to support the displaced in their new shelters.

Our team reorganized their efforts to ensure the continued provision of care in the most affected areas, such as Beit Hanoun, northern, western, and central Jabalia, and Jabalia town. Thirty-six medical points and centers in Gaza City continue to provide medical services, treating more than fifty thousand patients and injured individuals over the past week.

Juzoor renews its urgent call to the international community and humanitarian organizations for immediate intervention to allow the entry of medicines and medical supplies into northern Gaza, as the crisis worsens daily, increasing the risk of deaths among children, the elderly, and vulnerable groups.
