Juzoor Continues to Support Mental Health for Children and Adolescents Through the “Enhancing Access to Mental Health Services in Gaza” Project
As part of its ongoing efforts to build a generation that is aware and capable of coping with pressures and challenges, Juzoor for Health and Social Development continues to implement a series of awareness activities and interactive events in the Gaza Strip under the slogan “My Mental Health is My Priority.”
These activities focus on reinforcing the importance of mental health as a fundamental pillar equal to physical health, while also breaking the silence around psychological challenges, simplifying related concepts, and encouraging participants to seek support when needed.
The events also aim to address the social stigma associated with seeking psychological support by providing a safe space for expressing emotions and promoting a culture of acceptance and support.
As part of the mental health awareness campaign, Juzoor implemented an interactive activity in Gaza that engaged more than 245 boys and girls. The activity aimed to create a safe environment for creative emotional expression, relieve psychological stress, transform negative energy into positive interaction, and strengthen a sense of cooperation and belonging among participating children.
These activities fall within Juzoor’s ongoing strategy to provide mental health and psychosocial support services and to raise awareness about specialized services available to the public. The activities witnessed strong engagement from children and adolescents, who found in them a safe space for emotional release and better self-understanding.
This initiative is part of the continued efforts by Juzoor and its partners to promote a safe and supportive environment for children, especially in light of the challenging humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that this project is implemented by Juzoor in partnership with War Child, with support from the World Health Organization in the occupied Palestinian territory.
